I have been on numerous weight loss plans through the years. You name it, I probably have tried it. None of them really stuck with me and I had grown discouraged. Weight just stayed on me no matter what I was doing. I was told I was insulin resistant, even though I did not have diabetes, yet. In addition to the weight I was carrying, I had experienced herniated disks in my neck area, which was the reason I began physical therapy at Core Medical Center. It was difficult just even moving around. I had been fitted with a back brace to wear at home, but it wouldn’t even fit around my large waist. I had to be given an extension, so it fit. So, when I learned about how Core Medical Center was beginning a program that included having a weight loss coach and a food plan that would be low glycemic, I said, “Sign me up!” Well, it has been 4 weeks and I have lost 14.2 lbs. and 9 inches! I “feel” it working. I can “taste” real food again. I feel good. I can move easier when completing my physical therapy exercises. And guess what? I was able to remove the extension belt to my back brace, only after 1 month! I am so thankful I made this decision. Having a weight loss coach, like Ashton, is an amazing support. She is my cheerleader and fills my head with new weight loss ideas and keeps me going. I am now not only losing inches and pounds, but I am gaining strength and mobility and getting my “all” out of my physical therapy.
